However macOS unfortunately just isn't great for games. The installers worked, and even parts of the games worked, but they all had different problems (I was using Wine v. I wouldn't buy a mac to play games, but if you were to do so, there's Wine, CrossOver (Arguably better than Wine), Parallels, and Bootcamp if you're running a non-ARM (This is always Intel on genuine macs) system. Instead, it's a seamlessly integrated compatibility layer that adapts Windows programs to your macOS environment without memory loss or lags. Wine itself works fine on the MacBook, but when trying to run any Windows program, particularly games, it didn’t work all the way through. Wine is a free program that allows Mac users to run Windows applications.As mentioned in the software descriptions, it's not an emulator. The first command you will run will be to install an application. Run Wine using the wine path/to/appname.exe command. Check the Wine AppDB for specific instructions or steps required to install or run your application. To test your installation run the Wine notepad clone using the wine notepad command. No, having boot camp installed does not slow down the mac. ![]()
